Charming Station is very pleased to be associated with a very giving, caring person, best know as Grandma Debi. Despite some very serious personal issues, Debi spends all of her free time visiting nursing home residents and trying to brighten their days.
In February of 2012, members of our Yahoo groups helped Debi create a Winter Wonderland Day by sending her dozens of "Snowballs" . Debi made all the arrangements for the residents to play games and throw snowballs at each other and everyone had a wonderful time.
Because of the generosity of many of our customers, the residents were each able to keep several snowballs - in some cases, these small items brought by Debi are the only gifts they receive.
This is a such a worthy cause and we are proud to be able to help. We have to respect the privacy of the patients so we are not able to post pictures of the event.
In April, Debi will be holding an Easter Egg hunt for the residents. If you would be willing to help, please make and send Debi a dozen eggs from the Funky Easter Egg Set. These can be done with either fleece or regular fabrics and they take only a few minutes to create.
Anyone who makes and sends a dozen eggs to Debi will receive any set from our site (your choice) as a free thank you gift.
