Addition Information about Hoppity Easter

The eggs in the Hoppity Easter set are made with applique giving you endless design possibilities. For our samples we used pastel polka dot fabrics found in the Baby and Nursery section at Joann Fabrics. These are graphics showing the actual size of the polka dots:

There were also tiny pink polka dots and tiny yellow polka dots in this line.
     
This multi-colored tiny dot turned out to be our favorite for this project. We selected pastel colors of thread to coordinate with the polka dots. There was an interesting multi-color dot with varying sizes of polka dots Each color of the tiny dots was also available with larger polka dots

 

In addition to the fabrics shown above, these designs would be charming with Moda Marbles or Moda Dots, ginghams, Easter fabrics, or any other fabric as long as the print is not too busy. You could also make these really elegant by using satin or moire for the applique. Complete instructions for doing applique are included with the designs in case you have not done that before.

Once you choose the fabric you want to use, you can alter the colors that decorate the egg to fit your project. We were very careful in creating the designs so that egg decorations are separate from other objects in the designs so you'll have complete creative freedom.
